Born on December 26, 1964, in Chelyabinsk, Russia. From 1982 to 1988, he studied fine arts at the Chelyabinsk Art School. In 1989, he enrolled in the first year at the Saint Petersburg Art and Industry Academy and graduated in 1995. He has been professionally engaged in painting since 1989. He currently lives and works in Saint Petersburg.
The creative direction can be described as subjective realism. Conceptually, it is close to post-impressionism and the painting of the French artist Paul Gauguin.
