Nikolai Kirillov is a member of the Saint Petersburg Union of Artists and has participated in more than 40 exhibitions in Russia and abroad. His works are in the collections of Russian museums, as well as in private collections in Germany, France, Belgium, Holland, Russia, the USA, and other countries. Nikolai Kirillov lives in St. Petersburg. He graduated from the Leningrad Art and Graphic College.
The artist's creative search is characterized by a subtle understanding of drawing and composition, a careful attention to light and shadow, to the texture and surface of the canvas, and the color reflects his deep respect and love for the works of the old masters.
The essence of his work is a "moment of meaningful pause," which can be the key to understanding and interpreting the world around us. Familiar objects appear in an unexpected light: the fine line between reality and illusion dissolves on the canvas. The artist is convinced that understatement is an indispensable condition for aesthetic enjoyment.
