Artem Puchkov was born in 1969 in Tomsk. He graduated from the Crimean Art School named after M.S. Samokish. He studied at the art studio of Hugo Schauffler. He is the Chairman of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia in the Republic of Crimea, General Director of the ANO Tavricheskaya Academy of Arts, a member of the World Geographical Society, and a member of the Professional Union of Artists of Russia. He has undertaken creative trips to the USA, India, Pakistan, Tibet - the Himalayas, Israel, and the Caucasus. Since 1992, he has held 40 exhibitions in Crimea, Kyiv, Moscow, Donetsk, Dnepropetrovsk, Krivoy Rog, as well as in the USA, Germany, and the Czech Republic. As Hugo Schauffler says, Artem Puchkov is his best student, a master of landscape. Puchkov is called the "Crimean Roerich".
