Kosova Elena (Leonella Vok), born in 1970, Moscow, is a Russian artist and a member of the Eurasian Art Union. Her works are held in private collections in Russia and Italy.
She graduated from the Stroganov Moscow State University of Arts and Industry (1993) with a degree in "textile artist." After obtaining her second higher education, Elena built a successful career in financial management and strategic leadership (KPMG, RENOVA Group, the fuel division and nuclear medicine division of ROSATOM).
Balancing her professional career with creativity, in 2023 Elena returned to painting. Her debut and turning point was the Christmas painting of the bar windows in the Italian city of Padua. This experience inspired her to make radical changes. In 2024, Elena ended her career in the nuclear industry to fully dedicate herself to painting.
The artist works under the pseudonym "Leonella Vok." Her art is conceptual: the image, title, and philosophical text integrated into the canvas form an inseparable unity. Key themes are beauty transformed by time and the value of the moment. The artistic method is based on working with ancient frescoes (Etruscan, Pompeian, Mayan) and a modern interpretation of the sfumato technique. Main series include "In the Footsteps of Lost Civilizations," "Elusive Beauty," and "Decoded Code."
She has been actively exhibiting since late 2024. A laureate and prize-winner of international contemporary art competitions. Her works and interviews have been published in the editions "Диалоги об искусстве" (2025) and "Искусство и жизнь" (vol. 24, 2025). Market demand is confirmed by successful sales of reproductions (limited editions) on the specialized platform "АртСреда."
