Artist Oleg Nikolaevich Kalaytanov was born in Stavropol in January 1969. In 1991, he graduated with a gold medal from the Stavropol Art School.
He is a participant in numerous exhibitions. A member of the Union of Artists of Russia, a member of the International Association of Art — AIAP UNESCO, a member of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia, and heads the creative Association of Artists of Southern Russia «Koleso». Oleg Kalaytanov's works are held in private collections around the world.
Oleg's paintings amaze with bold brushstrokes and rich colors. He explains: «I want my works to reflect constant movement: the movement of birds in flight, the movement of dancers gliding across the surface. I want to convey the essence of the subject, but I do not want it to be completely finished. I always leave space for the viewer looking at the canvas so they can complete it themselves. It is precisely this interaction between the artist and the viewer that creates a wonderful chemistry in my works».
