When conceiving one picture, the artist paints another, and the viewer sees something else. The idea should not pressure the artist. The initial impulse is the will to create. The artist, as a creator of the world, must have an inner will to create that depends on nothing. It is not the picture that matters, but the way of thinking; not the distances, but the environment. Nature changes forms. What is correct and understandable today will be called absurd tomorrow. To approach where faith begins, to go beyond the depicted. To trust in beauty and material, to awaken the relic consciousness.
