The artist's works are created in the finest traditions of the Russian painting school. In Valentin Korotkov's paintings, technical mastery and high professionalism combine with a sense of harmony and joy of existence, making them popular and sought after by collectors.
The lyricism of landscapes and original Russian female images is highlighted by the freshness and purity of color, as well as the artistic technique of visually capturing a moment, reminiscent of the legacy of the artist Philip Malyavin, whose work organically blended elements of Art Nouveau and Impressionism. However, Valentin Korotkov's distinctive style is recognizable and impresses with a combination of dynamic brushstrokes and precise, well-considered composition.
Like many representatives of the Russian painting school, Valentin Korotkov creates a significant part of his work en plein air, directly in nature. The artist pays special attention to the portrait genre and landscapes, equally portraying both nature and the urban environment.
