The painting "Rose fragrance. Something out of nothing" is a real paradox of visual thinking, where the sensual and rational, simple and complex, being and non-being exist simultaneously, flowing through each other, like the scent of a rose, which is impossible to see, but easy to feel. The canvas immediately captivates with the saturation of color: the background is built from many squares, each of which is filled with dense, lively strokes of bright shades. These squares form a rhythmic, almost hypnotic pattern, evoking associations with the fabric of memory or the blanket of dreams, where each motif is a separate emotion, moment or memory. However, through this bright pattern, a large silhouette of a woman's profile appears - as if transparent, not fully revealed, like a trace on glass or imagination. The boundaries of the figure are emphasized softly, inside it remains part of this common color field - in itself, it seems to be nothing, but thanks to this "nothing" a feeling of presence, individuality, life arises. The only specific element inside the head is the eye, enclosed in a perfect square frame, referring to the window of the soul or the emphasis on awareness, observation, the inner light of thought. The gaze is directed forward, as if inviting the viewer to look deep inside, to walk through the labyrinth of memories and meanings.
A special place in the composition is occupied by a square with a black silhouette of a rose on a golden background - here all attention is focused on the image that hovers between reality and abstraction. The black shadow of the rose - at the same time simple and mysterious - embodies the very "aroma" that cannot be depicted literally, can only be hinted at, giving the viewer a reason for associations. The rose is a symbol of fleeting, elusive beauty, and its scent, arising "out of nothing", becomes a metaphor for the birth of feelings, thoughts, creative insights that come from the depths of our consciousness.
