This original artwork «St. Isaac's Square in St. Petersburg» was created by contemporary Russian artist Tatyana Grishutina and is available for purchase online.
The painting depicts the oldest and most beautiful St. Isaac's Square in autumn with its changeable weather. The center of the square features a unique 16-meter monument to Nicholas I (from 1859), supported on only two points and adorned with sculptures representing Strength, Wisdom, Faith, and Justice (four female figures).
The main feature of the square is the majestic active Orthodox Cathedral (101.5 meters tall), built between 1818 and 1858 in honor of the patron saint of Peter the Great, Isaac of Dalmatia. Over three centuries, various buildings have been erected on the square at different times: the Mariinsky Palace (home to the city Legislative Assembly), the German Embassy, the Prince Lobanov-Rostovsky House, the Astoria Hotel, the Isaac House, the Myatlev House, the Blue Bridge, a park, and… the most beautiful street lamps in St. Petersburg.
All these architectural landmarks harmoniously coexist in St. Isaac's Square, creating a unique historical ensemble. The painting will look wonderful in a living room, bedroom, office, or modern interior.
You can hang this painting on the wall of your apartment, house, office, restaurant, or hotel, and it will become a beautiful decoration for your interior.
