The holiday was first held in Leningrad on June 28, 1968, and the history of its creation and holding is well described on the Internet. But the main thing is the very idea of the holiday. The scarlet sails are a symbol of the hopes that are placed on the new generation, on talented and promising youth, on whom the future depends. I would like to wish the graduates only the best, so that their dreams, even the wildest ones, come true. And for us (parents, grandparents) – to stay young longer, enjoy every day, believe in miracles (or just the best) like the younger generation.
