Imagine:
- Dark silhouettes of buildings — not skyscrapers, but obelisks of a forgotten world. They don’t stand — they “lean” against reality like a wall.
- Astral beings — not ghosts nor angels. They are “fate correctors.” Some hold threads, others cut them with silver scissors. Their faces? Only profiles. Eyes? Black cracks in a golden mirror.
- Life lines — vertical threads of fate made from thick strokes on the canvas. Some flow into the light, others vanish into the trembling chaos of colors.
How did this happen?
One day I realized: when the city falls asleep, its shadows “go to work.” They draw routes on the asphalt, tape our decisions with invisible tape, whisper “turn right” in the subway or cross under the arteries of the streets through underground passages. I tried to catch them in the act — poured acrylic, pastel, and a drop of cognac onto the canvas (to make the shadows talk).
Hidden codes:
In the left corner there is a sign. It is a symbol. It is a password.
The black stripe in the middle — a divider of time. It is a “scar from parting” visible only in complete darkness.
If you look closely — some of the life lines lead beyond the edge of the canvas. Where to? Don’t ask. I’m afraid myself.
Questions from the painting (it demands you answer in a whisper):
If shadows are wiser than us — why do they hide?
The golden hoop — is it the center of something or an abyss?
How many beings did you count? (I saw six. But they move).
P.S. The painting smells of an old metronome and wet asphalt after rain. Also, it cannot stand bright light — it begins to flicker and drop drops of shadow onto the floor.
