This original work, «The quadriptych dna chains», was created by contemporary Russian artist Ksenia Zavarzova and is available for purchase online.
The idea arose spontaneously, as always: I was browsing photos from another hand shoot (thanks to friends who agreed to pose). These photos, repeated shots of «dialogues» with hands, formed such chains.
I saw a great allegory in this — our DNA chains are built from human connections, and in this theme, they were linked by hands. I prepared 12 canvases but quickly got stuck on the first three.
Then other improvisations appeared, such as the quadriptych with a falling canvas. The whole idea is conveyed in cyanotypes, two versions — positive and negative. I think this theme will be continued, but for now, the series looks like this.
