This original artwork "Going Downstairs to Von Vokano's Brewery and Bank of the Volga River." was created by the contemporary Russian artist Nikolay Lukashuk and is available for sale online.

The painting "Going Downstairs to Von Vokano's Brewery and Bank of the Volga River." takes the viewer to the historical part of Samara. From the hill in the foreground, there is a view of ancient red-brick and white buildings - colorful buildings preserved from past centuries, and in the center of attention is the legendary Von Vocano Brewery, a true decoration of the Volga bank. Soft perspective leads the eye along the street, filled with small figures of passing people, rare cars, saturated with bright sunlight. White and red walls of houses, bushes, trees with the first leaves and the blue water surface of the Volga create harmony between nature and a man-made city. The riverbed occupies an important place in the background, on it are boats, stripes of waves and a reflection of the sky.

There is unique place in Samara. It is callled "DNO - BOTTOM". There is a pub at the territory of beer factory. All local citizens like to come there to taste beer which just had been produced. The brewery is monument of industrial acrhitecture. The brewery was founded by Von Vokano - Austrian buisnessman - in late 19th century. After 1917 revolution it continued beer production. Soviet beer brand was named "Zhigulevskoe" and it is still very popular. Students of several universities located nearby for many years consider DNO the most popular location for rest.
