The painting by Oksana Sotnikova, “Pulse of Change”, is an intimate and metaphorical depiction of the turbulent, often painful, but vitally necessary transitional age of adolescence.
At the center of the composition dominates a structure that simultaneously resembles a circulatory system and a bizarre mutated tree. The gray or pale blue trunk and branches are pierced by bright red lines that distinctly resemble veins or arteries.
