Unexpectedly, I chose persimmon as the heroine of my still life. The early variety Romashka has a very picturesque color with various shades of orange and an interesting shape. I realized I wanted to paint it, selected objects and background. I wanted to add rose hips, but alas, they had already been picked. Then my gaze fell on viburnum, so ripe and juicy!
The branch with rose hip leaves was also useful, as the leaves were already starting to turn yellow. I was guided by colors and shapes, but after a while, I realized that my still life seemed to combine summer with autumn. It included a small figurine of a seagull, a souvenir from a trip to the sea, a box bought on a pilgrimage to Greece, and even the fabric resembles sea waves...
Early persimmon and viburnum, yellowing leaves tell us that autumn is already at the doorstep, but the warm light does not give up, with a few more days of Indian summer still ahead…
