The painting “Code 05. Iris Algorithm” is part of a series of works entitled “Decrypted Code.” The series was started by the artist in August 2025, and in September the painting won an award at the “World of Flowers” floral art exhibition and competition in the “Avant-garde Floral Experiments and Concepts” category (Moscow).
The painting “Code 05. Iris Algorithm” is a work for the thoughtful viewer, someone who seeks in art not just decoration for a space, but a visual philosophical subtext, a key to conscious living in the present moment.
This painting is for:
• Intellectuals who see art as a system of codes and meanings. For them, the painting is an intellectual rebus, where bitumen, potal, and cracks become a lexicon for talking about time, eternity, and the structure of being.
• Aesthetes who enjoy the purity of form, texture, and the play of light. Those who are attracted by the sculptural graphicity of the iris, the contrast between the rough material and the shine of the potal, the laconic composition, where every detail is calibrated and meaningful.
• Contemplative philosophers for whom the painting is a creative interpretation of Khayyam's philosophy, a conduit to a state of conscious presence where the past and future lose their power.
The painting "Code 05. Iris Algorithm“ was created for those who are ready not just to look, but to ”gaze,“ not just to see, but to ”decipher,“ finding in the harmony of iris petals the universal formula of ”here and now."
"Do not mourn, mortal, yesterday's losses,
Do not measure the days to come with your eyes,
Do not cherish past or future power,
Trust your soul and heart to the present age!" (Omar Khayyam)
The lines of the Persian poet and philosopher express the idea of living in the present moment, without wasting time on regrets about the past and anxieties about the future. The painting “Code 05. Iris Algorithm” becomes a visual embodiment of this “present age” — the only real moment in which the perfect code of being exists.
It is not the past (cracks) or the future (bud), but a pure, unfolded “now.” The monochromatic background creates the effect of a timeless space. In its center is a graphic iris at the peak of its bloom, its architecture seemingly carved from stone.
The pearl and silver potal breaks through the patina of time as the quintessence of the present moment, and the web of cracks only emphasizes that this moment already belongs to eternity. This is not a flower, but the very act of awareness of the “here and now,” transferred to canvas.
In the process of deciphering the code of existence, the artist uses the contrast between the rough material of bitumen (a symbol of the past) and the imperishable light of potal (a symbol of the eternal present) to “read” the algorithm of the iris not as a biological form, but as a pure idea existing outside of time.
