This original work, «Blue dream», was created by the contemporary Russian artist Agafya Belaya and is available for purchase online.

Agafya Belaya’s painting “Blue Dream” is a masterful journey into the unreal, where logic yields to the power of the subconscious. The canvas is completely enveloped in a cool, almost monochromatic palette dominated by shades of blue and azure, instantly evoking a sense of dream, mist, or a deep underwater world.

The composition is filled with details and surreal images. At the center is a young girl captured in motion. She is swiftly climbing a staircase made of white cubes that appear unstable. Her flowing hair and clothing suggest haste or pursuit.

A whole pantheon of strange creatures unfolds around the girl. On the left foreground is a large bright blue bird with a proud posture, reminiscent of a pheasant or peacock. Above it, in the upper left part, are the outlines of giant white structures resembling fingers, as well as a disturbing nest.

The right side of the painting is no less rich. On a tree branch, which itself seems frozen in icy numbness, sits a large nocturnal bird, watching the scene. Below, at the base of the cubes, we see another human figure sitting in a pose of contemplation or despair, tilting their head back towards the sky.

Belaya’s “Blue Dream” is not a narrative but rather an emotional state transferred onto the canvas. Every detail seems symbolic: the fear of pursuit, the striving for unreachable light (the white cubes), strange guides and watchers. The painting hypnotizes with its cold yet incredibly vivid fantasy, leaving the viewer free to interpret this “blue dream” in their own way.

This painting can be hung on the wall in your apartment, house, office, restaurant, or hotel, and it will become a wonderful decoration for your interior.
