Hello, dear friends!
My name is Sergey Dorofeev. I am a professional artist. I began my creative journey back in 1983 when I was first introduced to the works of our great Russian landscape painter Ivan Ivanovich Shishkin and the seascapes of the unparalleled master Ivan Konstantinovich Aivazovsky. I consider them my first teachers.
It all started with Russian landscapes. Blades of grass, birches and oaks, the vast Russian expanses and the deep forest wilderness. These have always inspired awe and admiration. And, of course, the sea. Seascapes are a separate realm of my creativity. At one time, I served in the navy. It was there that I developed a deep love for the marine element.
In my work, I prefer oil and watercolor painting techniques.
I am a Member of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia and a Member of the Russian Association of Marine Artists.
I sincerely hope that my works will resonate with the viewers' souls and that the time spent getting acquainted with my paintings will not be considered wasted.
I wish everyone enough skill and courage to bring any artistic idea to life. May the movement be only upwards and only towards victory.
I wished freedom to my brushes,
Letting them dance lightly across the canvas.
The marine essence, the grandeur of nature—
How to convey all this beauty?
Spin in a ballroom dance, creating
An intricate, unimaginable plot.
And drops of paint, soaring like sparks,
Suddenly fall onto my unbuttoned cuff.
